This week finds us in another short week since we did not have to use any of our allotted bad weather days. We have a girls/college campus looking trip scheduled this weekend so there are things to look forward to. With that in mind, it is never to early in life to remind your children to Never forget where they came from and to never lose site of where they are going. Goals are important and working towards them needs to be a fundamental life practice instead of just existing day to day.
We get too busy in life, focusing on what needs to get accomplished we forget sometimes to just enjoy our journey. Without a smile on our face, we can give the impression we are not happy or that we are stuck up. I like to remind J that a smile is the prettiest thing you can wear.
How many times have we heard "it's what's on the inside that counts"? Too many to count in my lifetime, we say that but honestly do people believe it in the world we live in today?
I believe that people will remember the kindness of your heart rather than what your outward appearance was. I chose to remind
J this week of that very thing.
As J prepares to drop her next cover song on Instagram, one can always send a reminder to work at putting out her best material. If she is happy with it, that is all that matters. Work hard in silence and let success make the noise.
College Campus visit trip ? Yes, college will be 2 years away after she completes this year, but it is never too early to have your eye on a prize, acceptance into the Musical Theatre Dept of the college of your choice 😉.
